Therapeutic Massage

Therapeutic massage sessions are set up quite differently from a relaxation massage. First time clients are initialy seen by a Dr. Beloso for a very thorough exam, detailing current and past medical and health complaints. This type of session may retain a large relaxation massage element to it, but advanced techniques are likely to be used for pain and chronic health issues. Dr. Beloso and a therapeutic or clinical massage practitioner will see a client very frequently for the first few weeks or months. This might include half hour sessions three times a week, or weekly hour session for a couple of months. Advanced techniques such as Osteopathic manipulative treatment or OMT, deep tissue massage, and trigger point therapy may be used in a more clinical setting.

OMT and Therapeutic Massage is often used to treat muscle pain. But it can also help patients with a number of other health problems such as:

• Chronic body aches and pains
